旅菲华侨王柒回乡寻亲认祖，发现族谱上所记载的祖父在离开前一年已殁于海难，而通过族中老人对祖父旧照片的指认，确定自己的宗族，但是祖父的另一件遗物——一件旧戏袍，又产生了新的疑点。据族中老人所言，家族中从未出过唱戏的。循着这一戏袍，王柒奔波于戏团之间，最终找到了关于传奇高甲戏武生庄启明和自己祖父的一段往事。
  Filipino-Chinese Wang Qi returned home to trace his ancestor ,and he found the record on the family tree stated his grandfather had died in a shipwreck a year before leaving. Through identifying of an old photo from an elder of his family, Wang Qi confirmed his clan . But his grandfather\'s other relics--an old costume,had created new suspects.According to the elder\'s saying, their family never had an Opera singer. Follow this costume,Wang Qi travel back and forth between the local drama troupe to find the answer.Finally he found a story between the Gaojia Opera\'s legend Zhuang Qiming and Wang Qi\'s grandfather.
